SAFE FCU EMPLOYEES HONORED

Thirteen SAFE Federal Credit Union employees were recognized with awards during the annual Staff Training and Recognition day in February.

The credit union recognizes "the best of the best" in different job categories, along with awards for sales, volunteerism, service, and leadership.

Cyntrel Jones of the Clemson Road branch was named Teller of the Year. Carol Rogers of the Wesmark branch was selected Member Service Employee of the Year. Brittony Geddings of the Wesmark branch was Support Employee of the Year. Volunteer of the Year was Kathy Comer, executive assistant. Cory Spinks of the card services department was named Extra Mile Employee of the Year. Shaw AFB branch manager Suzie Kearney received the Leadership Award, and West Columbia branch manager Carolyn Lykes took the President's Award.

Top loan sales awards went to Teresa Marrette of the Loan Service Center (LSC) and to Sandra Horner of the Springdale branch. Top mortgage sales awards went to Margie Manus of LSC and Brenda Cooper of the Lexington branch. Gretchen Johnston of the Wesmark branch took honors for Top GAP insurance sales and Johnnie Adams of the Manning branch was Tops in Credit Insurance Sales.

SAFE was organized in 1955 at Shaw AFB and is now one of the state's largest credit unions with 100,000 members, 15 branches within seven counties, $590 million in assets, and 266 employees.
