Friday, October 11, 2019
SUMTER, South Carolina, October 11, 2019 – Active duty and DOD personnel received special thanks from SAFE Federal Credit Union during a recent Military Appreciation Picnic at Shaw Air Force Base.
Lunch was served by community leaders and attendees were treated to free keepsakes from SAFE and other local businesses.
Participants had fun at the SAFE booth by “spinning the prize wheel” for free gifts. Members of SAFE’s leadership team also personally thanked military personnel for their service and addressed financial questions.
“As a credit union that originated at Shaw Air Force Base, we are so thankful for the sacrifices our military members make and we understand the impact it has on their financial needs,” said Susan Allison, SAFE Federal Credit Union’s Senior Vice President of Member Experience. “We’re here to give them the best service possible. They deserve it!”
Founded in 1955 at Shaw Air Force Base in Sumter, SAFE Federal Credit Union serves over 126,000 members and is one of the largest financial institutions based in South Carolina.
