Features

  • Upon opening an account, the first box of SAFE Custom Checks are free with the setup of direct deposit. Duplicate or single checks are available in many designs. Order checks!
  • Overdraft protection available by transfer from savings, Flex, SAFE Insured Money Management Account (SIMMA), or a line of credit.
  • Overdraft privilege is also available. Minimum opening deposit of $25 is requested.
  • Itemized monthly statement includes check number, amount, date paid, debit transaction descriptions, and deposit transactions.
  • Stop payment privileges available in person and by telephone during office hours and by electronic services 24 hours a day.

SAFE Insured Money Management Account (SIMMA)

  • Pays a variable rate determined by the SAFE Board of Directors
  • Minimum opening balance of $2,000
  • Dividends are compounded and paid monthly on average daily balances of $2,000 and above
  • Free personalized checks (limit of 2 boxes per year, 100 checks - additional checks can be purchased)
  • Unlimited withdrawals allowed in person or by mail request
  • Dividends paid on closing
  • No monthly service charges
  • Limit of clearing six checks per month (over there is a $1.00 fee per check cleared)
  • Average daily balances of $10,000-$25,000 and $25,000+ earn higher dividends

Funds Availability Policy

Depending on the type of check you deposit into your checking account, your deposited funds may not be available until the second business day after the deposit.

In some cases, we may delay the availability of your funds beyond the standard hold. You should refer to the credit union's full Funds Availability Policy in your Membership Agreement and Disclosure for additional information about the availability of your deposits or call our Member Service Center at ext. 2375.
