SAFE's regular checking account keeps up with real life and it deserves a name that says it loud and clear.
That's why we have re-named the account as RealLife Checking.
As of August 3, the new name matches the real life value this account offers, including all the extras that can get overlooked:

For current SAFE checking account holders, the RealLife Checking name may be new, but your account number stays the same. That also applies to your debit card, direct deposits, online banking, automatic payments, and other account features. They all stay exactly as they are now along with all the great extras that come with your account.
Because "regular" just doesn't describe an account that can handle all the curveballs of life. That's exactly what SAFE's checking has always done. Now the name fits!

Why is the name changing?
We wanted the name to better reflect what your SAFE checking account actually does. "Regular Checking" doesn't capture the value and convenience this product offers everyday. RealLife Checking is the same account you've always had...just with a name that better fits the product.
Is anything about my account changing?
Nope! Only the name is changing. Your account number, debit card, routing number, direct deposits, automatic payments, online banking, and all your other account features are staying exactly the same.
Do I need to do anything?
No action is required. On August 3, you'll start seeing the name RealLife Checking on your account and throughout SAFE's website and communications.
When will the new name take effect?
Beginning August 3, you'll start seeing RealLife Checking displayed in online banking, the mobile app, statements, and other account communications. Everything else about your account stays exactly the same.
